dirt dinner: Sandbar Sunset Edition

A collaboration between a movement artist, a musician, and a chef to share some of their favorite secret locations of Rockaway Beach through an intimate performance art supper party.

Upon arrival you will be lead to a boat where you will be taken to a sand bar in Jamaica Bay.  Breeze will be serving courses of sea inpsired vegan food and beverages followed by a site specfic performance by m i c c a and Gio Fernandez-Kincade.

The performance frames our remarkable setting in Jamaicia Bay, in NYC, just by JFK.  Our unique home budding with wildlife yet present with prospects of urban life.  As they dance, m i c c a mimics the blues and cycles of the water while harnessing the power of the wind with every ripple of their ten foot silk dress.  The live music by Gio is composed of recorded natural sounds such as lapping water, whispering barnacles, a gentle breeze, and a passing plane.  We are gathering for a ritual of respect for our waters, a celebration through food, music, and performance, all just before the setting sun.
